In Tsikhisdziri, Adjara region, a capsule ceremony for the construction of the Pullman-branded hotel and residences complex within Petra Sea Resort took place, attended by the First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili. The information was released by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
It is noteworthy that the event was also held last August in connection with the commencement of the multifunctional complex construction in Tsikhisdziri. At that time, Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and Nino Enukidze also attended the event.

"It is important to emphasize that the projects being implemented in recent years are of high standards. This is how we envision the development of tourism infrastructure in the coming years. When we talk about the ambitious plan for how tourism will grow in Georgia by 2028, when we discuss new bed capacities, we mean that this will be high-quality infrastructure that will allow us to attract visitors with higher purchasing power to the country. The plans presented by the Prime Minister to the public during the election program presentation are not a virtual promise, but are grounded in projects such as the Pullman project," said the First Vice Prime Minister in his speech. According to him, the five-star hotel and residences project will be fully operational by the end of 2028. During the construction phase, more than 500 people will be employed, and after the project's completion, 250 new jobs will be created.
According to the First Vice Prime Minister, the project's implementation will cost approximately $80 million. After its activation, Georgia's tourism sector will gain a new high-quality bed capacity. Levan Davitashvili stated that additional new hotel complexes are important for further developing tourism in Georgia, and, most importantly, high-quality tourist infrastructure. "It is essential for us to facilitate the influx of tourists with higher purchasing power into Georgia, which is a significant component of the country's economic development," Levan Davitashvili noted.
The First Vice Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of ensuring that the tourism project develops sustainably. He announced a transport project aimed at restoring passenger maritime transportation in the Adjara region. To this end, the construction of a marina and yacht club is planned near the hotel complex.
