New Kvishkheti-Kobi Road – Gudauri Access Section to Open in 2025

The Kvishkheti-Kobi highway, one of Georgia’s most significant road infrastructure projects, is nearing completion. The 23-kilometer-long highway is being built in two main sections, with a key 5-kilometer segment connecting Gudauri set to open in 2025. This new road will greatly improve access to the popular ski resort and enhance the region’s tourism potential.

As part of the project, a 9-kilometer tunnel has already been completed, while construction continues on the second section, which spans 12.7 kilometers. This phase includes the construction of five bridges and four tunnels, including the country’s highest arch bridge, which will stand at 166 meters. The improved infrastructure will significantly reduce travel time and increase road safety, especially during the winter season.

The enhanced accessibility will drive economic growth in the region. Petra Group is expanding its projects under Gudauri Hotels & Resorts, taking advantage of this major development. With modern infrastructure and world-class services, Gudauri is set to become an even more attractive destination for tourists and investors.
